thanks for the kind word lads:made another gasket for the steering bearing as i wasnt happy with the paper one:

and fitted along with the master cylinder for the clutch:

fitted new vapour barrier to the doors and re-fitted the door cards

gear lever surround and new gaitor fitted and a set of very good side repeaters kindly donated by saphcos mike

also had the exhaust manifold blasted, came out nice i think.

not a lot to be honest mate, mikes done a couple more brake pipes for me since I last up-dated,only one more to do,they'll look nice once painted up and clipped in.

the cars back on axle stands, needs a good clean under there, still covered in dust from the body shop.

and as stephen says below ive dropped off the steering rack to be re-furbished which should be back soon.
a day off how did you manage that,i thought they where slave drivers down there lol!

I hope so adam all depends on the money really.
Dont throw out your rack mate just take it to your local motorists discount store and they wil sort the re-furb for you.

thought id do a small update:
got the steering rack back a couple of weeks ago but wasn't 100% with the way they slapped the paint on so stripped it all off and re-done it.
how it was returned to me,with new hard pipes fitted

rubbed down:

etch primed:

and painted:

also changed the rear crank seal and spigot bearing:

flywheel ready to be bolted on along with new ap six paddle:
