Chris by spacer do you mean strengthening plate?
I only used a strengthening plate for master cylinder not the bearing, ill knock you up one at the weekend and get back to you.

Dont throw out your rack mate just take it to your local motorists discount store and they wil sort the re-furb for you.

I think I've still got some off the colour for them if there the same colour as the escort cosworth ones ?

Al have a look as I' still should still have the colour for the bolts too (blue) if it's there your welcome to it if you want it ?

thought id do a small update:
got the steering rack back a couple of weeks ago but wasn't 100% with the way they slapped the paint on so stripped it all off and re-done it.
how it was returned to me,with new hard pipes fitted
