little update...
IT FOOKIN RUNS!
well, it ran for about 3 seconds, and only cyl4 as that was the only hot header lol
i cant yet plug the ecu into the laptop as i need an older laptop with a comms port, not the monitor port i was trying to plug it into
so i managed to sort my wiring issues, i took the SECS S8, and drop kicked it accross the garage into the fooking bin - best place for it.
then purchased a DTA S40 ecu from MEF motorsport
had to them modify the loom again, but this time done it with minimal wiring showing...
ill get some pics up when i can be arsed....

cheers lads, been stuck down brighton all week with work, so hopefully this week i can start to sort out the few issuses i need to address. like refitting the front brake pipes but that needs 2 people, 1 in the car to hold the bulkhead fitting while the other fits the t peice. and i have no mates

its still in the garage in 1 peice
got more bits to fit, but not had chance to do anything and now the weather is shit and i dont really want to be messing about in the pissing rain!
got some time off work soon, so hopefully by xmas it will near to being otr!

Well... braving arctic conditions, me and Fudgee braved it this morning...
Few things adjusted on my magic laptop, and couple of other physical problems sorted out.. A-voila.
(Ignore the smoke, thats all the oily hand marks burning off the manifold ! LOL )
obvioulsy still very unfinished, the exhaust V band is a load of shit,
but it now starts on the button every time... cold start is obviously alright, as it was -2 for most of the time we were out there

it fucking runs!
as subsequently after that, its started every time!
smoke was also cos the v-band broke, so the downpipe is not actually connected to the the fooking turbo!
got the brake lines fitted properly now, and filled the reserviour up, but it was too cold to fuck about bleeding the brakes!
so still need to bleed all brakes and refit dash, little more woring and its pretty much good to go!
i also drove it into the garage for the first time ever, dont have a throttle cable yet, so set the revs to about 2500 - new cams too so its ok lol. also no brakes, so it stopped via the wall lol
(i have lots of foam stuck to said wall so its ok lol, no damage!)

if it was me, temptation would have took over and i would of got them bit's sorted just so i could have a quick go lol no matter how cold or wet it was 
should hopfully have it at some show's next year then (finger's crossed)...

yeh the escort's getting there, im hoping to have it converted to RWD when i get bored of FWD, but i want to keep the zetec engine, so when that time come's i'll no dout be buggin you about where you got your inlet, exhaust manifold etc from
