I was gonna say, Why build a track car, have a pukka silenced exhaust then have a screamer pipe unsilenced

Being an ex-magazine writer, I'd have thought you would know how strict the noise limits are getting now

Looks good though and nicely made, I know MK was happy with his system, and that looks awesome up close

cheers guys.

re the noise stuff, i originally said to ian that i wanted to use it on track, but he said more boxes would cost more so i said fuck it, i doubt it will get used on track so make its single box and have the screamer.

i think he got confused and made a bid silencer and still done the screamer, that yes i know would need to be silenced if it ever did get used properly.

as for whats left paul, i need to fit the compression struts and adj tca's, refit the wiring loom, plumb it all in, have a custom engine loom made and all other wiring needed, fit rear brakes, make an alternator bracket, reassemble the roller barrels and refit the complete inlet, bolt down the fuel cell tray, make some shit shields for the gearbox, refit the starter motor, get the metal work for the seats and bias pedal box cut out and remade properly, fit the stack dash and gauges, clean and pain the underside....

plenty more i cant think of too

Shame it won't be done for the RS Day though.

Mate rememeber that the paint needs to be mopped and polished properly as at the moment it is only straight out of the gun!!

Love what you have done with the screamer pipe really nice touch

coont, the front end wont look as bad with a splitter, and looks much better now theres a dirty great pro alooy cooler in there.

as for a rear spolier, one arrived from germany last week

i know it could be done quickly, but having just spent the almost last 5 weeks in manchester with the new job, my weekends have been spent with the family (or trailering the car about lol)

as i just said, if i can get a good weekend on it, it will be ready to take to reyland when martoon has space.

couple more pics from sunday, actually managed to get the car out the garage properly and do some work on it. but nothing is ever easy!

here is another pic of the scremer pipe exit, i also noticed that on full lock, the front wheel rubs on it... which is fucking good as when its read hot its not like its going to melt the tyre or anything is it... so i think a trip to hayward and scott will be in order when the car is running so they can rectify it. as long as the useless fucks dont put any more scratches on the car

it just needs a nice carbon surround making, when i get the chance

and most of the day was spent changing the original ARB for the compression struts and adjustable tca's

but of course, the mounting holes on the comp brakets were out, so either the std 3dr and cossie shells are different, or its compbrakes jigs lol

i had to file out one hole on each side a few mm to get them on, but it wasnt too bad an issue. then it came to fitting the tca's

the std cross member holes for the std tca's are 10mm, and the adjustable tca's use a 12mm hole i couldnt just use the 10mm bolt as they would obviously move about on the bolt, so out came the drill and the pedo (file) lol

that little job took fucking hours as i only had a 10mm drill couldnt get to the holes with the drill anyway, so it wouldnt have made any odds

and finally, taa daaaaa

i can now adjust camber and castor effortlessly

a couple of gratuitous engine shots - mosly back together, just need to swap the cam cover as i cant find a gasket that will allow me to use a black top cover on a silvertop engine...

as you can see, it still all needs plumbing in, and im working on that - in the shape of these.

that little lot there cost a bargain Ł184.98

the good thing is, is that its cheaper than aeroquip, and tbh, im not a fan of the red and blue looks anyway, and at least the ptfe hose for them is only Ł8/metre instead of nearly Ł30!!

got most of the connecors in place now, so i just need a bit more time to measure up how much hose i need and then i can get the ferrels crimped on

then after that its a case of sorting out the brakes, still not decided what to do about the rears yet....

and after that its off to promethius for the wiring, and then all thats left to do is map it

its almost looking like a car now, and im keen to get it fucking done

what ya reckon?
