lol @ luke

James, its not really how i wanted it eiter lol

i gave the bodyshop a pic of a golf R32 bumper, the kinda got the middle bit right, but ran out of time to do the side bits which makes it look odd.

if it was a square hole it would be ok.

i also wanted em to remove the number plate screw bits too, as it aint gonna have a front plate lol

cheers marco, hopefully it will look a bit better with a dirty great pro alloy intercooler in the hole

ill also get a 500 splitter for it too.

well, not long been in from the round trip to pro alloy, got there and there was noone there

luckily wayne turned up as i was about to leave with the car left outside and a hope it would still be there monday morning lol

but its now tucked up inside

my mate said it may use a little more fuel than normal, fook me - it doubled the consumption

still, its done now and should be rather very cool when i get it back

cheers bud.

as for the rear bumper - i know, the bodyshop said they ran out of time to do everything i wanted, i also wanted them to fill the cutout for the exhaust as i was going to go sode exit, but not going to now, just have it in the normal place

im in 2 minds whether to sticker it up, as the cage runs along the roof i cant have any sun visors, so gonna have to have a sus strip of some sort, and thinking of having fez ST style side stripes, but with the S reversed to read ZT lol

or do i just blast a load of stickers over the car?

im thinking subtle tho

couple of months max hopefully!

will be at pro alloy for a few weeks, then hayward and scott, then it needs plumbing in and few bits modded, but reyland wont quote till they see it

and then it needs all the wiring doing etc.

oh, and then of course running in and mapping - by which time i would have run out of money again lol

I'm planning a Zetec Sierra also. Which gearbox are you using and how does it fit? What about the flywheel and clutch? I've been planning to fit Zetec + T5 into a Sierra.

What about the water hoses. Is there going to be any problems?

hello mate, im using the cossy T5, with custom flywheel to take a cossy clutch - pm doug, garage19 on here as i got it from him.

the enigne bolts to the gearbox ok, but you need to chop up and turn around the gearbox mount to get it in place.

need custom enigne mounts.

as for the plumbing in, not done that yet but the water pump pipe needs to go back on itself across the fornt of the engine but doesnt all look too hard.

i used the retro ford water rail to re-locate the thermostat, id advise using the dunnel or racline one tho as its shite.

Ok, so whats with the Zetec flywheel? How is your flywheel different? I've heard a rumour that you could use a 1.8 Zetec flywheen with the T5.

Do you mean the gearbox mount which connects the box to the car?

I've also been thinking about the thermostat that there won't be space for it. So the re-locator must be used then i quess.

Have you faced any major difficulties during the project. Especially with fitting the engine, gearbox and so on. And would you do something different? Just trying to do everything right at the first time

Do you mean the gearbox mount which connects the box to the car? yes

I've also been thinking about the thermostat that there won't be space for it. So the re-locator must be used then i quess. or you could cut a big hole in the bulkhead for the original

Have you faced any major difficulties during the project. Especially with fitting the engine, gearbox and so on. And would you do something different? Just trying to do everything right at the first time major difficulties was the distinct lack of money lol. other getting all the custom bits made, it wasnt to hard to get it in.
would i do something different - yes, buy one already done lol

right you bunch of queers, another update!

not the best pics in the world as i run out of time to get the trailer, get the car from pro alloy, and get it to hayward and scott in time, and just in time it was. they were just locking up when i got there!

anyway, i really cant thank wayne and alex at PA enough, the stuff they have done is fapping fatastic! had it coated black too, and it looks the shizzle!

i had also removed the inlet and hard pipes befor i took the pics, and the pipe from the water rail was slightly out, so i need to pop back in after picking it up from H&S to have it remade.

anyway, heres the pics.

exactly what it says on the tin

custom cooler and rad combo, with hard pipes - i asked for as little silicon hose as poss.

swirl pot - hard pipe from water rail and inlet removed in pic

from the top

washer bottle

header and oil catch can

50L fuel cell

and black filler in the C pillar

i fookin love it,and the work is TOP notch!!!

so thanks again Alex, Wayne and the Pro alloy team
and BIG thanks to Ed, V6 EDC for the loan of the trailer, without that, id be double fucked
