KZ go kart
besides my hobby of having a great RS Turbo to drive with i have another hobby which i wanted to share a video off and see if there are more people on here doing the same.
In my free time i drive a KZ go kart (recently bought a newer one) round track. Just for fun and no races (yet)!
Anyone else here?
Here is a video from last saterday!

Karts are awsome. Never done anything serious only public fun days. Last ime I went out with a load of local lads and some very competative ladies and did very well, came in the top third and it was pooring it down on slick tires. Drifted round every corner and got the "calm down" flag a few times for rater entusiastic entries into turn one. The only place that had grip was on the inside (proper racing line went completely out the window) so full throttle down the straight then slide full on 90 degrees on the inside of the turn then throttle on to drift it round. Passed a few of the more experienced racers with that one, of course they were far better than me everywhere else
You have now succeeded in making me want to go karting again, thanks very much!

The budget you are looking at for mine is about 3000 pound and can go up to 9000 pound for a new one. But that is just the kart. You deff need some equipment around it and deff knowledge! If you start driving a thing like this without experience it is gonna cost money! Engines are pretty fragile!
You can buy one for 1000 pound, but to keep a kz running also involves quite some cash. Like rebuild every 8 hours (new piston and small end bearing)
I'm happy that my dads company (www.bmvescharen.nl) is my personal sponsor else it would be impossible for me!
The thing that amazed me the most is the grip these things have. Started with old used tyres in the meanwhile i buy my own new sets. Pretty soft tyres compared to old used harder compound i take 4-5 seconds of a lap!
Really great sport to do!
@phil_focus you're welcome haha

Yep it is quite like that, so i have no reason to complain! It has my dads company name al around soon, and my dad and i drive the same kart together! But if you look around you in racing there is almost everybody running on company names. So we took the same! It's better for both! And on a KZ and all people watching the movie it's a good comercial too

or in which country, but anyway with a bit of google work you are always able to find a shop. But best is to go to your local outdoor go kart track and talk to the people. Then you can find out what brand or what to drive and what you like!
