Your using too much paint in 1 coat. Do 3 or 4 light coats not 1 thick one.

Im leaving the black line on the doors, will see how it looks with the graphics. Took the 'Escort 1.6 GL' off the boot with brake fluid, now its gone dull. Must have taken off the laquer too Never mind, graphics will cover it up

 

My lui rs500, with missing wing mirror, bent aerial, broken head lamp decal and lots of dust.


And Capri rs3100 no.31, Chip of paint missing from boot and dust.



Didnt know they were on display and a young cusion got hold of them!

 

i like the wide kits on them capri's, maybe another kit to put on my long list lol!!!

 

Loving the look of the Mexico wouldn't mind a front spoiler like that for one of mine.

Help!!!!!!!!!!! just painted my sunstar mk3 and put it together and im surrounded by 1:18 models i bought as a job lot (about 20 cars) lol and a limo! and none of the bloody wheels fit!!!!!!!!!!!!! how do you get the wheels to fit on them????

 

I use super glue.

They just look silly! too wide, or too big! do you mod the chassis?just tried Maisto 911 cup wheels, look nice but poke out etc!!! doing my nut in

 

find a wheel that will fit in arch and cut out what is in the way to fit them, u wont know/see what u removed once the wheels are stuck on.

My Mk3 Escort was the same. I fitted EsCos wheels, just glued them on.



Then after a few months, I got round to doing them properly. Just filed down the spindle that holds them in place & glued them back on.

Now it looks like this. Camber on the front isnt right but it looks fine in the box.
