Anybody have a set of Mk3 Escort front & rear headlights (chrome inner & plastic outer) they dont need ????

 

Just need to find something to pull apart for the screws.
Got this far so far. Needed a brake form the other cars anyway.

 

are u going to smash it up a bit i wld be good at making them as i find it quite easy to ruin my good ones lol

Has anybody tried the 'rat' look on a model?

Read somewhere that if you put sugar on the a model when its bare metal for a little while (few days), it will rust perfectly just like the Vdubs. Is this true?

 

Never tried it mate but i will post my rat mate give me 10min and it will be up.

 

Here it is bonnet glued down because the engine wont fit because the wheels r 2 wide plus if the engine did fit the wheels would be showing anyway when the bonnet would be lifted lol but there is a tvr engine in the back but cause the boot dont open u cant really see it. I put a strip across the bonnet so some fast car mags could slide in for shows they are the rat 1s to lol. the rust look is some tin paint gone hard also made roof rack out of loly pop sticks lol.

I like that, its different.

I was thinking of doing one where the car was realy nicely done, but the bonnet was fully rusted.

havent really had a good day today was taking some of my models upstairs and i dropped my red minichamps bmw m3 went and picked it up and the door was broken off the bonnet was broken off both wing mirrors were broken off and the spoiler broke into 2 pieces i was gutted its the 1 which is in my view public profile.

 

SO DO I if its at the right price. lol

 

as most as i can get that why it be on there.

if you mix sugar in with the paint it gives it that bumpy effect like rust,you can buy rust paint from places,the car not rust if you left sugar on it tho,diecast cant

Cheers mate didn't take long bout 10 mins i was thinking where i could get a roof rack from and originally i was going to get 1 of a vw camper but then i though fuck it and made 1 out of the loly sticks and it turned out good lol.

Has anyone else done a rat car i thought we were all going to do 1 then see who's is best but it all seemed to have got forgotten about.

 

i was goin to do a smashed up car once,i did start on a rally focus but i hit to hard lol & proper fooked it
im not doin a rat,would look good but would go with my collection.

 

The most i have spent on one model is Ł70 if you sell the pair they would fetch a fair whack

U dont know your own strength lol. I loved doing my rat car because if something fucked up it wouldn't mater because well its a rat lol.

 

Thats why am ejoying doing this banger car.
Needed a change from trying to get every thing spot on.

 

Either as a pair or even on their own,i can imagine its hard to part with them as you have spent so long doing them,even if sunstar did a s1 it wouldn't be the quality of yours

 

Its looking very good by the way mate it's easier for u because u don't have to put any of the parts back on lol.

 

yeah that the prob,i spend to much time in trying to get it right so then mean alot to me,

I thnk the only other model of your's i love (out of the pics ive seen) is the yellow mk2 Escort Mexico with the minilites.Shame you can't mass produce the s1,reckon you would do alright out of it

roy why dont you get those oz wheels copied? theyre a really nice wheel and theyve suited everything you had em on
if you get a few sets you can have them on everything lol

bemmer almost finished just got to finish one arch and sideskirt, sort some wheels, seats and exhaust, then primer and paint.
