give up on it mate aint got a spoiler for it and scratched the roof so im selling it everything ive got is going apart from my red and white and silver escos and my yellow scoob 22b and 22b wrc my manta and my texaco borbet white and moonstone rs500 3dr's r32 r33 r34 aa skylines and evo 7 aaabu dabhi and stobart and martini focus thats all im keepingoh and my mk1 wrc and 2 mk2's my e30 and opel omega and my rs200 rs16i and my rs3100 capri the rest are going on ebay in a couple of days as a bulk

Just finished applying my Harrier decals on my white Mk 2 Escort,look spot on

Got my Capri from Germany today but on a down point the tailgate doesn't shut properly
any ideas how i can put right?.

. its very risky on a car like that but the only thing i can think of is bending it very very carefully back into place or opening the car up and seeing if you can unscrew the screws holding the tailgate on if theres any then screw them in again these things are risky to do.

I had ago at bending the tailgate down but it kinked the side parts on each side,managed to get back in shape but tailgate still not shutting fully (spoiler end) there are 2 little screws holding the tailgate hinges but they are in tight,i can't see it fouling anywhere to cause it not to shut,i don't want to glue it permantly shut & i don't think blue-tac will hold it shut
if not will double sided tape hold it shut

fordmodelbuilder - the screws holding the boot on might be too tight, try loosening them half a turn or so and see if it helps - happened to me a few times

no need for that, matts done some cracking models - the sierra and truck are both very old models of his and the only way you improve is by practicing. keep your comments to yourself if you dont have anything decent to say.

Thanks for the idea's Colin,i loosened the screws but made no difference & i tried removing the tailgate as i think the 2 little hinge bits need bending but i don't want to risk snapping them,blue-tac seems to be working if it won't hold i'll try double sided tape,was toying with sending it back but i waited over a week for it to arrive

So far the blue-tac is holding it down,i wasn't over fussed about it i just didn't want it to stand out on display,any luck with the clamps & shelves Colin?,i hope to get somemore of mine done next weekend if B&Q have the clamps,i may pop in & see if i can order some.

i would go for the blue as well.
i might have a go at one once the series 1 kit is done as i can use the arches as a base lol, bit of a cheat but will save a hell of alot of time.
