I wish this pissing rain would feck off, so I can paint the Merc. I can start some thing new then.

I did some spraying today

 

do u spray in a garage.

 

i have given up spraying as its toooo cold.
will have to wait untill my new shed arrives lol
pissis me off spraying outside as last time i did i kept getting flies in the paint...

 

I spray outside, then bring it in and put it next to the radiator. Good job my misses loves me lol

 

i primered 3 cars today and its that cold the primer went funny and they all need to be stripped again lol not worth the hassle really, might have to set up somewhere indoors

i ended up spraying the white focus 3 times as i kept getting bits in the paint and reactions from shite...

 

i had that once in the summer i had just sprayed a car went indoors came out about 20 mins later and the little bastard laid there it pissed me right off.

other than the roof it looks the nuts, noone who has done one of them have managed to get the roof right yet

 

yes i have its quite cheap isnt it mate i think i might buy it because its so cheap NOT. the car has been done very nicely but its a bit over priced int it. its a pitty.

 

It looks like when it came to doing the roof, he said fuck it and put a bit a rug there.
Shame as the rest does look good.

ive seen that bloke on ebay before he's done a few cars with a bit of that rug on the back. hes done a cab escort mk3 as well but i dont know why because they actually make them now it hasnt got the cab lights in the back but he has done a good job of it all of his models on there are good.

awesome that is roy the painted on mud looks so realistic too, dare say if you got a good backdrop for the two landies theyd look pretty real!

the other one will be yellow but i need to make some 2CV club square head lamps for that one as it will be the 007 2CV

Hi all , new to the site but not to modelling..bit of an old fart ! but i love old Escorts..Had a look on Ebay and i was surprised at the price MK2 and MK1 Escorts make , especially if they have been "modified" is this a market at the moment or do collectors want something out of the ordinary .
1/18th is a nice scale to model , especially with a small band of sellers on ebay supplying some really nice resin wheels etc..
I have only modelled in plastic but a metal bodied car gives a far better finish than a plastic shell , and it shows on here , the cars are superb !
Just a hint with milliput , if it gets sticky try a bit of flour.. the baking cake type ..sounds daft but it works and will not affect adhesion ..
