Some insurance companies will mirror your no claims on two separate policies though.

You can only use your no claims on one policy. Some companies will mirror it for a short time.

If her daughter is going to be the main driver though your wife will be commiting the offence of insurance fraud.

Not strictly true on the first point mate you can have multi-car where the ncd is on both vehicle's, i know that cos our lass want's a saff as well as the frst and she can insure both on 1 policy for the year, although it does work out a lot more £'s then both quote's added together if you know what i mean.

But it would be fraud if she blagged it as she want's

nope - all the above is right!
her daughter would be better off trying to get insurance in her own right as soon as poss to get her no claims up and running

Tbh mate i wouldnt of thought that was bad.
If she's just passed her test and is 17ish that's quite a good price.

I'm 29 and they want 1k for me on a frst lmfao
No point's no claim's but no ncd.
And remember it will half after the first year or there about's

It's called "fronting" where a mum/dad insures the sons/daughters car and states as a legally binding and RECORDED statement to the insurance company, that they(parent) are the main user.
It is absolutely illegal and very common, insurer will not do anything until a claim, as they get your money, but will then do tricks to show the daughter was the main user, and avoid paying out.
They then have a legal obligation to report this to the police, and action may be taken by them.
