locked out of focus st, both key and fob
I got back from holiday yesterday and went to unlock my car.
It's an 06 Focus ST-2
I've searched the forum and found lots about just the fob not working but nothing with both of these problems
The Fob did nothing so I changed the battery - again, nothing.
Changed it again in case battery was a dud - again, nothing.
I hooked dads car up the the car battery to make sure there was enough voltage - yet again, nothing.#
I then tried to unlock it manually with the key - key turns clockwise (as if to lock it) but not counter clockwise.
So basically I cant get into it at all.
It wasn't dead locked when I left it 2 weeks ago but the fact I cant turn the key seems really strange like it ant just be that the fob has lost its code.
I really don't wanna have to smash a window (I'd have to pay a £90 excess with insurance) but I can't see any other alternative. Can anyone help?

boot wont open either
That's fair enough, only the boot wont open on the fob either
The only key holes are the bonnet (which opens fine so I don't think the key is overly worn), and the drivers door.
I've ordered a passenger side front window, I might try sticking a sheet of laminate over it to minimize the amount of glass going everywhere :-(

Even turning the key in the door, you are opening an electronic lock so will probably not open. The alarm should have gone off when you opened the bonnet, sounds like you have had total electronic failure somewhere, either a big fuse has blown or something else.
Can you see the red light flashing on the dash between the rev counter and speedo?

the alarm did go off, I checked all the fuses under the bonnet. hopefully the key will reset and all will be fine once I get in it,
as for the lock being seized, it's possible but I spent a good hour trying that, could it somehow be stuck in the locking mode (i.e constantly trying to lock it so I'm turning the key against the force of the lock motor?

there are no marks around the lock barrel and my friends house is in the middle of nowhere so I don't think so. No breakdown cover, didn't think I'd need it lol
