I have one and my g/fs dad has the IS300.

Slow as all hell the 200. Needs the 300 engine.

They handle very well but dont have much speed or power. The 300 has the gears on the steering wheel and can be flicked to auto or tip tronic (what ever a clutchless manual is).

Plus points for me. Under 200 quid to insure fully comp at 23 and looks good. Handles well and very economical. Cheap to run and service.

HTH and if you want pics let me know as I have a fair few. Oh and mine is for sale if you want it!

If you can find one, the RS200 is the one to go for. Performs much better and came with a carbon fibre bonnet from factory

I had one briefly as a company car. Was brand new and I was all excited. Drove it to Plymouth and oh my god... after that I drove the cossie everywhere, even th ough I had to shout my own petrol.

As said I think your 2K would be better.

My father in law has one, very nice car, nice inside and look good but if it's performance you want then I'd say there are better cars out there.

If you have to get a BMW can I suggest you try and get one that has had the indicators repaired.

Kim,

Why not say your budget, and we'll suggest some possibilities of cars that might suit?

must be a bastard parking it up due to all the snow the uk gets

my old man had a mk1 gs300 and a mk2 gs430 both fantastic cars for the price they are, and the v8 is fairly nippy once rolling too.

Why not wait til you have the money up front either through sortin the current loan out or enough capital to buy up front before getting a new car. Your problems will probably just stay as long as you're paying huge interest rates on loans...?? Good luck with the decision
