From ex Auto sparks now retired ..... there is no Central locking seperate control relay box....central locking is done by the drivers side "central locking motor"....its a 4 wire motor, and when key inserted and operated it send POS + and NEG - ....ie..swtching + & - re-open doors or locking doors and tail gate. hope of help. Cheers Peter really appreciate that
basically I have bought a car been off road many years over 15 and it’s de locked and old alarm removed years ago. When you pressed the lock button inside the car by the handle central locking would operate
so I bought a central lock kit off eBay to just lock unlock doors which upon attempting to fit into the drivers side footwell area whilst trying to suss out which wires from the new kit where open / close the central locking had a hissy and went off constantly so I pulled the fuse and reinstated whist I disconnected the wires in footwell as some thing obviously wrong connection wise upon putting fuse back in when pushing drivers door button to activate CL the drivers side wasn’t CL motor wasn’t doing anything and now the passenger side too doesn’t activate so basically both motors in doors have become manual
but I have 12 volts at both kicknpanels where the sub looms connect into doors and fuse is all good
so basically screwed it all up

I see now....if you want remote centrol locking now....you would need to put the original locking back to normal....ie drivers motor will be "Duff" now....passenger door motor may have survived ? needs testing.....the tailgate motor will proberly be OK . You can purchase a basic "central locking kit" on line, and fit useing some of the original ford wiring...but your need good electrical knowledge to sort. ......Peter........im happy to run you through what you need to do if fitting a after market "central locking kit "...useing the original ford wiring.

OK ive sent hear pic of a kit that you can purchase....there are many on the interenet...most are 4 door...so you only use 3 on your car....you will need to remove both front locking motors...disscard...these kits supply lots of hard wear , to fit the new motors...you should be able to connect the motors to the original operation rods...yes there will be some " Fetling " to fit...but no problem...just ensure the motors have a nice free operation, any 2 wire motor you get with the kit you purchase [ and there will be ]...use one to fit to the tailgate only....so tailgate 2 wire motor........both front motors will be 4/5 wire motors depending on the kit you get. now once you have the kit...scan the diagram which will be with the kit, and send to me on the site...then i can get back to you exactly how to wire up...you will see lots of wire comes with these kits..keep all this even though we will be useing many Ford wires...so wont need to run any wiring to doors or tailgate.....but the kit wires will have the correct terminals we will need to connect to motors...., i need to know the working of the kit you decide to purchase as there are at least 4 different circuits that can be used.. your proberly find the kit motors will latch right into the original rods in the doors... seem to remember they do...many years ago did many many conversion to fords...but im 81 now...so wait to see how you feel...and the kit you get. im on home computor but check mail regular. Peter ....... sorry now find the site wont let me send the photo....but go on Ebay Amazon there are loads

OK James .....will run thrugh the fitting hear....Central locking standard Ford is all 3 motors are wired in "Parrel"....we dont want that with the new "Electronic relay box " in your kit, [ remove the fuse in the unit loom ] so drivers door remove the 4 wires going to motor...you may have to strip back loom there as Electric door mirrors...fitted...so of course leave all there wiring...once the 4 wires are now inside the car the Red & Brown are the power 12v for your new control unit..Red to Red being live all the time...Black from control unit to Brown being negative...leaves 2 left...we can use them for the Tail gate later...go to passenger door..do the same but cut all those tape up...wont be used...OK on new control box im sure there will be one long plug that just plugs into it...your pic does not show in pic sent..but recon there is one...so now run the new wires to drivers new motor as in your diagram on diagram....same to passenger side....OK...remove..Tail gate motor...fit new motor...note the 2 wires left at drivers loom..note there colure they will be at the Tail gate motor so in your diagram the to wires for 2 wire motor....so join to the 2 at drivers door to the new 2 wire motor. note colure for colure there ....this save running a new twin wire to rear... Fit fuse in power loom....shut all doors Test...with remote. note Ford fuse will be 20amp...your control should be lower...thats correct....note when fitting new motors the door latches must be in locked position...use skrew driver to locked position...sure you know this but just mention...as this alows you to manuel set up "Rods" with ease. hope of help Peter
