who's been to Thailand then?
Just booked my hols for this year and I am going to Krabi in Thailand on the Andaman coast-has anyone been to Thailand or Krabi and what are your thoughts,recomendations

i used bankok as a base, lots of nice places, enjoy!! jus watch out for those bloody annoying tuk tuks (or however u say/spell it!) cheaper then taxis but always take u to same bloody sponsors!! you will c what i mean

They're ALL after one thing... money. I had some nasty moments in Bankok trying to get rid of some coont trying to drag us into a bar, me and my mate contemplated kicking the shite outta him. Glad we didn't try as we saw a street fight there and it turned into full on kick boxing, we were so pissed and it was fast and mad a real blurr. Thats when we were glad we never kicked the guy up in the air.

Just got back from Thailand. 2 days in Bangkok and 1 day at Pattaya (about 2 huors by car from Bangkok). G/f's parents have been all over Thailand including Krabi.
Krabi was stunning according to them but Bangkok IMO is probably not going to see me again other than possibly for transit. Did not like it.

my old man was out there for 2 years came back last week, lovley place agree on the money grabbing side things he spent his first year touring eerywere then the second living with the proper thai peeps in a small village in the jungle
he even said he used to go out in morns with them with a flashlight on head catching grasshoppers etc as they cook em and munch on em lol

Thailand is a great place where money talks 
iv been a few time & iv also been to Krabi & is very beautiful with lots of lime stone cliffs. its very popular with rock climbers but fook all to do apart from that so if you want a break from it all Krabi is good 
& if you smoke go to the sunset bar
