4x4 flywheel to lighten or not to lighten ?
As the engine is being machined and balanced I'm considering having the flywheel lightened, however I've heard this may not be the way to go on a 4x4 can anyone tell me reasons for this ?
I've always lightened flywheels on other engines I've built CVH & Zetec but this is my first cossie engine.
Cheers in advance
Jay

Would be better to just use the 2wd fly wheel as these are much lighter anyway!
May not tick over quite as smoothly but i doubt that will be a problem

Don't bother mate, Unless you intend going mental altogether. You won't get any more power just a better response from the throttle. Theres also the risk of them exploding if you take off too much.

I was basically looking for better throttle response off boost mainly. So a 2wd will be astraight swap ? if so could be time to look in parts for sale
