Opinions on Audi tt
Wife has seen an Audi tt between 2000-2005 and really likes them, what are they like to own? Problems etc, we have a bmw e60 520d I would be chopping in for one as I know have a company car,
Advice please good or bad, probably lookin at the 225 version as I wouldn't mind a drive round the track if I had to have one

Sister in law had the older model and she loved it, now has the newer one and loves that too
Driven both a few times, nice surefooted drive though I found they lack in power
Always in the back of my mind is their image.....

My sister has owned a 225 coupe and a 225 roadster and know has a 3.2 roadster.
As you say image !.For me they are a bit of a womans car.
They are all right to drive I suppose as always felt as they were a bit flat when giving them some boot. The 3.2 is better for straight out of the box imo.Sound quite well and probably use the same amount of fuel .
Make sure the cam belt and water pump have been replaced. Its about £300 all in to do so not to bad.Make the clocks work to.
They can be had for next to nothing now,my mate has just bought a very tidy 52 plate one in black mapped etc and he gave £1400 for it.

the only thing the replies have in common is:
"ignore the image, but my wife/sister has one and they are brilliant"
just make sure you don't need the back seats, they should come with a height restriction for back seat passengers of something like 4 foot 11"
