Default Info required Exhaust tailpipe manufacturing

I'm still after a 3" rolled out stainless tail pipe.

12" long

As every one on ebay etc are 8" so I'm after a Manufacturer of these parts to contact direct as I don't want a 8" with a bit welded on.

Tried most of the exhaust fabrication places but again I can weld u a bit on sir. Even tried mongoose BUT they didn't want to help even thru one of there suppliers.

Any info would be great thanks.

Paul

Been on there sites and only found 8" long have emailed a few with no response

Really need the company that actually manufactures the mongoose exhausts. They also manufactured a exhaust for woodford garage motorsport but Sue bless her got her knickers in a twist about it so that was the end of that.

All I want is a tailpipe how hard can it be?

Try phoning said companies ? after Christmas of course.

If you were that badly stuck, wouldnt be too hard to weld the 8" one to make it 12"

I have steve and yes the weld option is there as said by many exhaust fabricators.
just only wanted the one weld to the back box.

Just being fussy I guess don't want the 4" slash cut on it anymore

There would be only one weld on the back box...the other would be 4" away lol

Just grind the weld down with a flap wheel and it would become invisible anyway

Maybe try Simpson Race Exhausts, OJZ Engineering, Chris Tullet ?

Or maybe if you contact Mongoose they can supply you with something

Blueflame used to make mongoose
If you have a good fabricator they could weld a section on, smooth it and have it polished so you wouldn't see the weld

Hi , I wanted a straight cut 3inch tailpipe instead of the 4inch rolled so I had the rolled 4inch pipe cut off at the original weld at the backbox and a 3inch pipe section to correct length welded on so no additional welds.

Maybe an idea.

Cheers. Tim

Magnaflow sell a lot of tailpipes and are decent quality, there are a couple of distributors in the UK

But none are rolled outwards.

Ring bcs. The 2 guys used to work for blueflame (makers of mongoose) so they should be able to help.

Thanks guys think my first port of call will be blueflame as this system was I think made by them and the tailpipe I require they should be able to sell me one (hopefully)

Then I can get the boys at work to tig it on for me.

The only other costly solution is to buy a mongoose back box and have a mounting flange welded on to match my system.

surely any local metal engineer/fabricators ,rather than exhaust fabricators, should be able to make you that up ? an exhaust specific manufacturer will probably only use off the shelf stuff they buy in rather than making the tailpipes themselves? don't need to complicate matters by telling them what it is, just give them a drawing with dimensions and finish and they'll make anything you want.

I guess it completely stuck, get some round bar and roll a ring and weld it on and smooth the welds

That reminds me a Jeremy Clarkson's motorworld that guy who could make wings from a roof panel

There are not many people about now who can do stuff like that anymore.

Have you tried piper paul?

When i was down there some years back they made a system onsite for my old puma.
But i suspect they buy in the tail pipes so you may still not have a resolution.

Or simpson etc?
