My s2 - needed to give up spending and modding to make more time for the business. Just couldn't keep her on the drive in pieces and lost motivation!

My banger for being ultra reliable and a laugh

And my first ever car, my xr2- I ran out of money and being 18 didn't help. I got her to a stage where I had a ported and cammed head and twin 40s! couldn't afford to get her back together and tuned!![Sad](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

I miss my old shit box capri...... Was a d reg 1.6 laser and I paid £70 for it!!!
I then put £1800 worth of Vulcan engine and twin 45s on it and used to drag race everything.... No two wheel drive car could beat it up to 65mph...... 3 litre bmw's , 200bhp rs turbos, civic type r's the lot..........
Cut the shell up in the end and threw the engine into a cleaner shell...... It just didn't have the same road presence without the rust or dents though!!
Happy times!!

Forgot about my 1990 cav gsi as well, arches were rough and I was desperately trying to sort them before the bad weather kicked in but I can remember the missus had a bad back and was calling me literally every 5 minutes so fucked all the prep up and botched them quikly to get it roadworthy.
No idea what had been done to the motor but was stupidly quick,I had an astra gsi after which I loved the look of but it never had the same performance, felt like two completely different cars.
Good motors 90's vauxhalls, could rag them all day and night and they were still working in the morning!!!
Also just came to me, a convertible pajero, jacked right up with mudplugger type tyres on it and derv pump turned up to the max was a complete animal, looked stunning too.
Got the mot sorted on it by wiring a guys compressor to work the right way after he'd entrusted an old council spark to do it who disappeared connecting the yellow phase to earth, fucking spastic!!
The mot was written out by the time I'd got it working!!!
Sold it one day to a mate who caught me on the offchance as I really liked it,she wasn't happy but when are they when cars are involved?

This was the only car i had to sell. It was the 10% deposit on my house when i got married. It was replaced by a Ford Cortina GT a big step down.
One of only two imported to the UK the other owned by a chap called Gordon Murray.
The 1500cc motor was replaced by a 1600cc then fitted with twin 40 dcoes & a Piper cam. Thought it was fast but remember getting outrun on the M1 by an 'E' Type the Speedo refusing to go much past 125mph.
We both missed it a lot it was our courting car & 15 years later tried to find where it was but no trace.
These are the only 2 pics i have one during its upgrade which included a change of colour & the car as it was at time of Sale.
I still have that Yellow badge from the front.

weird thing is like most I have owned god knows how many cars over the years, and I must be the only one that never had a days trouble with my old classic 3.9 range rover, started every time on the button and all the electrics worked a treat and I enjoyed driving it

Think mine would have to be my 7k miles 22B, ok not the fastest car but for looks etc it was sick.
Miss G88 too, one of the nicest staffs out there but thankfully James is working his magic on it

I would love to get this back, only car I felt truly 100% confident in on country lanes etc, epic car to drive.
![](http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t225/acidburnzerocool/DCP_1385.jpg)
surprisingly I don't miss this
![](http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t225/acidburnzerocool/SP_A0037.jpg)
![](http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t225/acidburnzerocool/SP_A0036.jpg)
which was the real deal, 20vt with full s2 running gear which went in feb time.
I miss this for how good an all rounder it was, but a sleeping policeman took the sump out on it.

![](http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t225/acidburnzerocool/Image0018.jpg)

I am unsure about this currently. Its one of three that was produced by a company, number one's still owned by the guy that made them, number two is this one and number three caught fire. Proper 20vt inline 5 with 6 speed quattro conversion.
![](http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t225/acidburnzerocool/011-4.jpg)
I sold it in jan but its still in my lockup waiting to be collected.
And I really do miss this car
![](http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t225/acidburnzerocool/Photo0545.jpg)
but after this:
![](http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t225/acidburnzerocool/Photo0487.jpg)
![](http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t225/acidburnzerocool/Photo0491.jpg)
![](http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t225/acidburnzerocool/Photo0500.jpg)
My faith in the car was gone so I scrapped it but after a couple of years wanted another but this one is the only 1.9tdi thats been converted to quattro thats known to the forums its on, it started off as a fwd. So ended up with this work in progress

The only 3 I actually miss are.....
My first RS Turbo.
![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/RabRS/old5.jpg)
Was not the greatest example about, but it wasn't a shed. Most of the others were better, but I loved this one.
My XR2 turbo
![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/RabRS/Show21.jpg)
This was brilliant. Standard looks and 165bhp!
And my MR2
![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/RabRS/DSCF0001-2.jpg)
Actually shed a tear the day that went!
Evo makes up for it all though!
