Another failed gated sump causing engine meltdown

Of course it wouldnt of happened as quicky because it was like 330 hp!!!lol
With 500 hp shoved done its bores and having pistons like that in them it was always going to go wrong but funnily enough we cant see pistons clearly from inside a running engine and as said before we map at the owners risk!!
Id say that engine wasnt very nice and had issues way before we even touched it..

if the pistons had already been detted it would have smoked out of the breather and the exhaust, made insufficient power
crank case pressure issue would have been obvious even to a kitchen fitter causing the turbo pressure differentials seals to pass oil into either the compressor or the turbine end or both
I'm sure if this had been the case moonstone would have been on the phone complaining about the new 1200 quid t4 I had just sold him
when we map a car we carry out basic engine checks before we do anything
1 cylinder leakage check
2 pressure drop tests
3 coolant gas sampling and coolant system pressure drop check
4 fuel pressure check
and a fair few more
I'm sure most of the top tuners do the same
It has already been established that the missing power was not due to stu's off the shelf chip it was the fact the car had no boost
stu;s maps have the correct spark advance and fuel duty cycle for upto 2.2 bar and 500+ bhp
IMO you should have left stu's chip in and just fixed the boost leak
How can you blame the owner he is a kitchen fitter you and luke boast how you are tuning gods not seen moonstone boasting

The car was running fine and was making ok power for its said boost level it just needed a suitable map and boost..
I cant comment on the msd chip and you might be right as i dont know what the chip was specked for as know one knew cr so that would of been very catastrophic if luke had just let it have full boost on a chip that would most certainly have the wrong ignition table???
The facts are them pistons have gripped the bores due to getting hot and bad enough to crack them!!!
This is what caused the death of the engine!!! that bit of det on the pitons could have happened at any time in its life and this last trauma finished the rings off..

absolute nonsense
one run on the rollers even a kitchen fitter would have noticed if the rings and pistons were deted
det creates immense localised heat particularly on the exhaust side down by the ring land
with stu;s chip in you can easily read the real time data which displays real time ignition values
injector duration
act
ect
map
rpm
throttle angle
etc etc

Would of the above tell you that previuosly at some point in its life there is some det around the pitons??lol
Of course not!!
I can tell you something..if them cracks were in the pistons when luke mapped it he would of had the mop and bucket out and a fucking big broom!!!lol...
How does any one think them cracks and scrapes happened???
Lets hear it?

What are you going on about?? if this had happened before and been re ringed or just never noticed nad then put into a different car you just would never know?
Then that car gets a set up and is good untill it gets hot because a vacuum hose pops of and grips the pistons cracking them..death!!

Even karl has agreed with what ive said what point are you trying to make?
You dont know what your looking at?
Give me one good reason why them pistons have cracks down them and a scrape above the ring land?
The piston above the ring land is a lot smaller in diameter than the pistons skirt so for that part to have scraped the bore it has got hot at some point gripping the bore and that was more than lighly when they cracked..
If you want to learn just read and take in some of these points but dont ask me if i know what im saying and why because you think im wrong?
I know you have your tongue up tonys arse hole but your starting to look silly..

Ok I feel as though I'm wasting my time explaining this to you but here goes
Any fucking idiot can see with there own eyes that the pistons have melted !
When metal gets hot it expands !
This would be when the piston being alli and the bore being steel was when the piston locked in the bore !
So can you not accept the facts or still trying to bullshit you're way out of it I suppose if you continue talking shit you're whole life then you may start believing you're own shit

He wanted the pictures of the pistons and now he has them he is still in denial
I read Karls post and from what I have read he agreed that the damage isnt horrendous but said at 14 degrees they were in the danger zone.
Correct me if that is wrong please.

As an outside observer looking in, it looks from where I am sat like Tony 'Divorce Specialist' Mannock has just put it in the top corner in the 92nd minute, in fornt of a packed Stadium winning the league, while Danny@EP (or 750bhp Escos or whatever) has just headed it over his own keeper, only for it to bounce off his own crossbar and come back, hit him in the face, and fly into his own goal.....
At least, that's how it looks to me....

From what I can gather excess heat can cause it, maybe its time to bring out a quote from Luke whilst he was mapping it and before he gave it his last blast on the rollers he said" I better let it cool down for a bit as its getting fucking hot" which he did and had a fag and cuppa then proceeded.

i know it would of been heat just would of expected to see alot more det damage at the top of the piston for such a crack low down
