Default thinking broken crown wheel!!

Not had the car out for 3 weeks ,so i thought i get her out for a spin tonight and to give her a wash tomorrow while im on call out duty.stopped at a set of light on the way home.pulled away from the lights as you do with nearly 400 ponnies and Bang!! Think ive stripped some teeth from the crown as the car moves foward ok a few yards then a rottern noise. while its trying to find teeth.bastard diff has cost me nearly 2k euros and now another fix to pay for and i was supposed to going to Ascari on the second june.WIFE PREGGERS and baby due 5 july what a CUNT!!

I did the same leaving a roundabout in 2nd lol so re built it with a shot peened and super finished one

I was lucky as a mates dad works for hewland so did it for me but most engineering places do it but you will need to get another c.w.p so maybe go 3.9

what diff does the 3.9 come from.i take it its better for acelceration
by fitting a 3.9 wont affect my lsd?

3.9 is from a granada I still have 3.6 but been told its a good mod to do for aceleration and you don't lose very much top end! And it won't affect the l.s.d at all as that's the unit in the middle of the crown wheel the 3.9 c.w.p just have a different number of teeth than a 3.6

All sorted,mr bara singh is at this moment packing me a shot peened 3.85 cwp and diff rebuild kit to send out to gibraltar today.totally happy with the service at bara and the price was ok as well!!!
