Default Which Fuel Pump For 400BHP+ Cossie?

Hi guys as above, which pump would be best? The car will be running over 400bhp in the near future. is it true that the 044 pumps are not all there cracked up to be? is there an equivalent to the 044 thats as good? cheeRS

044, maybe, depends on what the plus is ?, if the plus is say 300bhp then 044 no good, as that makes 700!!

I can only imagine whoever told you that, was trying to sell you some shite pump.

044's are very good pumps. Nope, there are no equivalents as good.

But for only 400 bhp, a 909 might do, or a Walbro GSS392

The problem people have is the wiring in their cars in knackered and they blame the pump...

044 works fine in my car with gt35 at 2.2bar and has been going for 3/4yrs and done track days ect..... so fit one and a new fuel pump loom and you will be fine

The 044 has MINIMUM rating of 200lt/hr @ 5bar, as said a single one can run upto 600bhp BUT not all will so i'd say 500bhp is the SAFE limit of one.

have tested a few 044's and they seem to be on their limit at 500bhp for every one i've tested, for anything above i'd run 2 to be safe. (probably tested them at 3.5bar, 1.5bar fuel pressure and 2 bar boost pressure)
