So i thinking everyone has seen the new focus if not

Just wondering what do you think about it?

I think it looks shit, i cant help but think its a stretched fiesta with the same gay "sleek" look and the space ship dash.



On that note though it might just be the fact that i HATE the fiesta and KA so much i now hate the focus for looking the same!

I know i only have mk2 focus thats not a ST plus thats getting to be 5 years old but i would never swap it for a new one of these!

Will the new ST and RS look the same as these? if so

I know not everyone is the same so some of you will like this so all opinions are welcome!

Looking at the ST i wont be jealous if i see one go by. Not like the mk focus RS

Dont like it. Rear lights and ST interior are horrible.

No 3 door for the new ST either, only 5 door and estate.

You and the majority of people on here are NOT likely to be buyers of a NEW Focus in the immediate future, so Ford haven't built and designed it with you in mind.

Ford will have got it exactly right as they usually do, Ford will have a World best seller again.

I bought a new Sierra in 1983 when they first came out, most people laughed at the Jelly mould shape, the rest is history.

I like it, I like the sleek styling and interior is a bit busy but on the whole looks decent IMO... I don't like the rear lights that look like they've melted and started to run down the back quarter?! Also, I can't believe that Ford will sack the 3dr ST as well cause it was a good seller in the MK2 Focus and not everyone will be able to wank away the cash (I assume c30k) for the new RS.

I love it, I'll get my mrs a 180 bhp petrol turbo that does 40+mpg and handles better than a lot of sports coupes and i'll be well happy

as all new cars are going it looks fat, ugly and slab sided but then i only realy like older cars. dash looks good though.

as always the beefed up versions look better but still looks like a bottom feeder!

bet it sells VERY well as most people prefer to buy the latest modern looking vehicle

I'd only just learnt not to be sick at sight of the rear of a mk2..... and this is just terrible. The rear looks like it was styled by a 50 year old woman with severe depression.The front looks like a parody of boy-racer bodykits..... it just looks shit and completely disparate with curves of the rest of the bodywork.

Why would you cram the handbrake lever between your leg and a big plastic moulding?
And I don't see how you can reach the stereo buttons and whatever those are bleow it whenyou're in 1st,3rd, or 5th?

Ford got it right then as that is probably half the target market.

I cant confirm but I'd guess Focus like most other new cars is going to have auto handbrake.
The lever operated brake will only be for parking.

Shit, iv decided all focus's are shit along with kas and fiestas, the last good fiesta was the rst and the last good ford was the escort cossie, I'm not a fan of the new ones!

Don't like it, looks too much it's japanese sister (Mazda 3). New cars are getting worse. New fiesta isn't bad, KA is horrendous though.

In the era of shared platforms and 'brand family' styling cues. All cars look vaguely similar.

It does look like a stretched fiesta ok the looks might take a while to get used too. But no doubt this will keep the class leading handling characteristics and improve reliability over previous models.

Its a good package imho and no doubt the st or rs version of this will be a stormer!
