Mk3 Mondeo Wheel Bearings
I have a wheel bearing gone on the Mondeo 53 pleate, i havent checked yet to see if its a front one or rear but how hard are they to do? anyone recommend some where to get them from? how much should i expect to pay for them?

the rear are very easy to do you need a long 50 torx socket to get them off
remove wheel, undo caliper reomve disk, undo wheel bearing, disconnect abs sensor, fit new bearing, fit disk calier and wheel
the front can be a pain and have to be pressed out, also to get the strut out you need to undo the bottom ball joint, be carefull not to pull the inner cv joint apart been there done that!!

They're a twat to get in and out. We've got a press in the workshop, but had to use the monster press at the garage next door. I've done about 5 on mine (don't ask) and it's a pain in the arse. You have to be careful when you're pushing them in as it's easy to go too far and fuck the bearing.
Make sure the hub flange isn't worn too much otherwise you'll keep having to replace bearings!! You need to have a hefty torque wrench too as the hub nut requires a lof of force.
