Default Car wheels hard to turn by hand...?

It a strange problem with the Escort now it's come to rolling it around.

The front wheels are very hard to spin by hand (it's a struggle to spin them with both hands when in the air), this became apparent when I tried to push it in the workshop.

However, turning them backwards is not.

It's weird. If I say, spin the wheel forward 1/4 of a turn it is hard, I turn it backward 1/4 and it's easy, I then turn it 1/4 turn forwards again and it easy up until the last time I stopped then gets hard again. If that makes sense.

Everything is new or rebuilt so I can't think what it could be...everything aside from the wheel bearings as I was told when I bought the hubs they had "been 'recently' replaced.

Does this sound like dodgy hearings or something more sinister.?

Just to add, it's not a sticking calliper, the clutch is disengaged and nothing appears to be rubbing.

Do you have a limited slip, diff? My diffs are brand new and it takes quite a bit of force to turn a wheel....it ain't gonna be like turning your old Raleigh chopper upside down and spinning the wheels, there is a lot of mechanical drag there.

Yeah, it's an LSD. All been 're gelled' and rebuild and not used yet. Is it really supposed to be that stiff? I can hardly push the car lol

I expect it will free up. Mine are new and I can only just turn the wheels by hand.
