Why have you quoted that bit of text Danny wrote ?

All the figures i have given are the exact figures.

I recorded them.

Just remembered what you might be on about after me commenting on the graph you posted on the RSOC site.

Test 1, Air Temp 11, Intake Temp 15

Test 2 Air Temp 15, Intake Temp 19

Test 3 Air Temp 12, Intake Temp 17

So as you can see the Intake Temp was always higher than the Ambient Temp, unlike your graph which shows a cooler Intake Temp than the Ambient Temp.

The cooler will fit without the ducting but they are custom making the ducting to fit the 4i bumper.

It will only be to check the ACTs with the bumper fitted, as when we done the test my bumper would not fit correctly due to the ducting being for the 3dr bumper.

a verry interesting read. but im sorry there was no pro ally in the test as i can remember a test done in a mag a few years ago on D19 BHP and it came out on top. think it was done a msd.The spec-r sounds like the must have cooler thease days.LOOKs good allso on the front of a car
i have a 65mm pro alloy on my t3 stage 3 saph. i have never had a charge temp abouve 22*c. 24psi boost is there all the time and holds it well.
the pro alloy rad is allso gr8 on my set up. 77-82*c on the road and 90*c on track.
to most cosworth owners this is probs a good set up?
think it is time one of the mags re tested all coolers so we can make the desition on what to pechase in 2011.

i would seriously like to see an intercooler from alex at AH Fabrications tested ,his work is superb. im sure it would beat the same spec pro alloy version. they have never tested the ah intercooler in any mag test iirc.

Bumping an old thread
Wonder if someone will do a huge intercooler test with all the Brands from those £140 XS power ones off eBay all the way upto Spec R's £700 one and everything inbetween.

I doubt it, it takes a long time to do the tests. You might also need different hoses etc as well. You might get 4 done in a day, 5 at a push.

it would be interesting for sure.

Ive quite a few cores. And an awful lot of the "super dooper" cores out there look identical to the cheap chinese ones. At least as far as external appearances go.
Which does make me wonder.

On the other hand I have seen some quality cores out there, and their external design and internal is nothing like the cheap chinese stuff.
