i'm not answering for Jim, but my own assuptions would be that he is using an MT75 gearbox from a 2.0 16v Sierra and the very ECU from the 2.9 24v Granada. Clutch i am unsure of and wouldnt hazzard a guess at!

2.0 mt75 will not fit because the bellhousing bolts dont line up.you can use an old type 9 gearbox or an mt75 from a v6,2.8 or 2.9 i think. the t5 requires an adapter plate which i think fitz used to do .the only problen with the type 9 is i dont think they will take much more than 200bhp

2wd mt75 here.

t5 needs a (VERY RARE!) adapter plate. speak to bernie, he's in the process of trying to get some made

clutch i dunno, but most people use a normal V6 clutch or a cossie clutch (theyre interchangeable)

ok options:

4x4
use a box from a 2.8 XR4x4 (will shit itself within a week )
use a box from a 2.9 XR4x4 (should be fine, just as strong as a 4x4 cos)

2wd
use a box from a 2.8 XR4i (will shit itself within a week and a half )
use a box from a 2.9 Manual Granny (rare as rocking horse shit!)
build a box with a 4x4 v6 box and a 2wd 2.0 box (or buy from bernie complete/refurbished for £450ish)

Clutch - the best clutch you will get on this without going aftermarket is to use an XR4x4 friction plate (slightly softer and more grippy than the cossie one) and a Escort Cosworth big turbo pressure plate (much stronger than the XR4x4 item!)
If you use a 100% Cosworth clutch, it rattles, as the springs in the friction plate are designed to deal with 4 cylinder vibrations, not 6. Use the 4be release bearing afaik.

DO NOT forget to put the spigot bearing in the end of the crank, it's not present on the auto box engine, but necessary on the manual, or your box will shit a brick sooner than expected.

It also helps if you don't get a bunch of twats like TC Harrison Ford to refit the gearbox and leave out the fucking locating dowels between the engine and the box

The MT75 RWD box is the way forward, provided you can get one built or find one.
