I'd say not tbh as the helicoil might come out when you remove the wheel bolt.

Can you not find another hub?

you could possibly re cut the thread to a more coarse thread, not sure on the helicoil, a second hand flange should be easy enough to obtain though

+1 time sert is a cracking kit. much more robust than a helicoil

With using the Timesert kit the last 3 threads are tapers so when you take the wheel off 2/3 times it will be deemed useless.

Also as Matt said, a new hub is cheaper. Even with the new wheel bearing it will only cost the same as the Timesert kit.

i wouldnt worry to much you could helicoil it and it will be fine so long as the other 3 are all good. dont forget some cars come from factory with only 3 bolt wheels, so 3 bolts and a helicoil should be fine

Yes but the 3 bolts come designed like that

If you do decide to helicoil it use the locking nut on the helicoil one.

helicoil will be fine if it torques up ok but for the money and the time u may as well get a new hub and a helicoil that size will cost a bit too!

Years ago I drilled out and retapped and used "I think" some Audi wheel bolts that were 14mm...

Front or rear? As to me it would make a big difference!

That sad i'd sleep better knowing id sourced a s/h hub than doing any kind of repair...
