helicoil is it easy if the first time or should i get some to do it can any body advise me what to do. i live south wales if any one in the area can help

if you know what your doing its easy, kirky off here did mine for me quite easily, and its lasted over 1.5 yr so far

It's easy to do!

I've got a habbit of over tightening stuff so i've had to use them a few times

Easy to do but u need 2 make sure that when ur tapping the hole its 100% sqaure or it'll cut the thread pissed and u dont want that also make sure u drill the hole out deep enough so when the bolt goes in after you've finished theres no old thread inside for it to catch on, done that before

As said thou practice first as u get a few coils in the sets anyways

1 use the right size drill dont just try and tap the stripped hole !!
2 use a cutting oil on the tap this i a must if you are tapping alloy
3 clean the hole out very well
4 make sure the coil is sitting on the insert tool right
5 make sure the coil is the right length i use longer coils and nip them down with wire cutters.
