Default Bugger!

Was just on my way home in the saff, having a slightly spirited drive home, enjoying every minute, when i got into 5th, full boost, and................. pop, no boost, hideous noise from the turbo, and chucking blue smoke out of the airfilter, i'd imagine thats a dead T34 then...............poo!

Exactly what mine did at Snetterton race track except i didn't have blue smoke coming out the air filter. 2.4 bar boost was the cause

what would be the consiquence if i ran a .63 with my current chip?
I may get it rebuilt, but i think it may be beyond it, took the filter off and the shaft isn't even spinning at idle, only when u rev it fairly hard, and the blades are rubbing/grinding on the housing.

your chip if supplied for the 48 housing will prob be no good for a 63 as you will need more fuel probably everywhere in the rev range and definitely at the top end of the rev range where the 63 can enable the boost to be held onto for longer. Deffo a good upgrade though imo the 63 over the 48. An even better upgrade is to get a GT3071

god i hate these ECU's at time, if it was a let, you could just turn the fuel pressure up and be done! lol
Gonna have to be another.48 if i have any chance of getting it to ford fair though.

Send the chip out your ECU back to MSD and it can be modified for the extra top end fuel for a nominal fee

Will be fractions of the cost of a new chip!

Make the most of your bad luck and pick up some more power
