Any one been to Sri Lanka or The Maldives?

I'm going on my honeymoon at those to places. A week in Sri Lanka and a week in the Maldives.

Staying at the Royal Palms Beach Hotel in Sri Lanka and the Sun Island Resort & Spa in the Maldives.

What are they like and any recommended trips to do?

Maldives is the fucking bollocks

I did 2 weeks on meeru island for my honeymoon. MSD James has been there twice iirc and maybe one other island.

There wont be much to do in maldives as the islands are small. Eat, drink, sunbathe, swim or dive. ace.

Dont break your arm 2 days before the wedding or you wont be able to get wet...

I got married in Sri lanka and then went on to the maldives. Sri Lanka was very eye opening, absolutely loved it there. Stayed at the Taj Exotica and they arranged loads of trips altho pinnewala elephant orphanage was a high light. The Maldives IS paradise..... Words cannot do it justice. You will love it mate

Previously i never fancied the Maldives, i didnt like the fact that i could walk around the island in 20 minutes and would be bored.
However we went to an island called kuredo a couple of years ago and it was fantastic, probably the best hoilday ive had.
Go for it.

Hi we did Sri Lanka about 12 years ago now we stayed in the Dolfin in Negombo , trip wise we did Candy for 2 nights and u have got to do the elephant orphanage a truly great sight to see them all walking down the road into the river for the morning wash and scrub.

Keep out of the north of the Island and dont eat anything off the street so 2 skeak and generally be aware.

In all a fantastic place and some sights that you will never forget , thats inc the begging.

Maldives for me. Nothing else compares (if you like classical paradise). First went on honeymoon and been every year since, usually dec/jan. Take the misses, the two kids, under 4 and usually the inlaws come along. Can't beat it. Have a good time!

Good plan. We arrived outside the time for available seaplane. I hate boats. Felt wank and took almost an hr on a shitty boat.

On way home we left at 05 00 maybe and again too early for the plane. Fuck that time was rotten. Rough as fuck

I hate boats aswell, always get sea sick. So made sure we could get the sea plane and our flights arrive and leave at the right time.

Planning to do some trips in Sri Lanka (Elephants)

Then

Just chill for a week in Maldives, just some watersports.
