Anyone been to Sri Lanka ?
Just booked my flight to Sri Lanka in December for the Cricket/Piss up, was wondering if anyone had any hotel recommendations, i'll be going too the following areas.

I went there when I was about 15, cant really remember much about where we stayed as we only stayed in a place for like 1 or two nights. We have a family owned golf course, Victoria gold club near Kandy, but that had no hotels when i was out there as it had recently been completed (grounds), but if you like golf it is an amazing course, well, i thought it was anyway!(biased!)
It depends really what kinda place you are after, i.e somewhere 5* or somewhere that has a bit of persoanlity.
Wish i could be of more help, but enjoy your stay out there anyway as its a wonderful place.

Dont really wanna pay more than £30 a night, Hikkaduwas a beachy type resort, Colombo i want a decent 1 as its a shithole, Kandy im looking at the Thilanka hotel so far.
