Default Cossie Running lumpy...sometimes.

Took the cos for a long drive yesterday for the 1st time in 6months. it drove very well up the duel carriage way boosted well etc, but poodling around town it coughs and kangaoo's like a fooker and it stalled on a roundabout and back fired but did start again luckily enough for the car or else i would of gone basil fawlty on it and wacked the hell out of it with a branch. i did wonder if it could of been the fuel filter???

i put some 99ron fuel in yesterday to see if that would cure it but im guessing as the tank was nearly empty the pump has sucked up all the crap and blocked the filter,im guessing that has happened.

Cheap and simple way to start rectifying mate wouldn't be surprised if it was the fuel filter. If you fill the tank up a decent amount say Ł30-Ł40 worth does it still do it? If not points to fuel filter.

could be filter, poss a split in the plenum/inlet gasket as my last cossie did it. if u spray some easy start or something over the inlet you'll know if theres an air leak or not, eliminates it anyway.

I'll change the fuel filter and then i'll try the easy start mate if it persists.
