Default 41mm Socket - Where from?

I need to undo the rear hub nuts on my cossie, and reckon that the nuts are 41mm.

So far so good, but I cant find anywhere that sells 'em!

Any ideas peeps?

No joy yet - the only ones I can get are 3/4" drive, and I only have a 1/2" breaker bar

My local Halfords sells bigger sockets in imperial sizes.

Would 1 5/8ths be close enough, esp. one that grips the flats rather than the corners? Would be worth taking a spare nut down with you, just to be sure it will fit - these are supposed to be replaced anyway, so maybe get new ones from the Ford dealership then go to Halfords.

I think the rear hub nuts on a cossie are 42mm, don't use 1/2" drive as you will snap them like carrots, use min of 3/4" pref 1" drive if you can get them, machine mart are quite good for stuff like this or look through the yellow pages for local engineering merchants or tool suppliers oh and you will be needing a big fook-off extension as well, 4-6ft at a guess, a bit of old scaffolding does the job well

Phone these guys up;

01992 715 900

Company is called Group Componants, based near me, but 99% sure they do mail order....

They will have ANYTHING you need, and I know they will have the sockets as they have fucking HUGE sockets in their display cab (and when I mean HUGE i mean nearly a foot in diameter )

Also they will be cheaper than ANYWHERE else, specially Cromwells, Halfords, Partco, Browns etc.... Even inc postage they will be cheaper
