folks
i'm interested in buying a car which has a private plate on it; now i'm only buying the car for the plate!.
the car is cheap'ish as it is (£800), so i wrote to regtransfer and they come back with a valuation of £500 for the plate
my question is, in your experience do they massively over value plates just to get you to advertise it with them or are they pretty accurate valuations?
i dont want to buy the car if i cant sell the reg quickly - whilst i appreciate it all depends on the configuration of the plate, i intend just to make a quick few quid off the plate then punt the car on
opinions please!

not worth anything dude,
unless the plate says summit without miss-representing it, it's worth peanuts.
the only way you could market that would be K FR5 4D to a focus rs owner.
