Does anyone here have an A-level or degree in German? I'm really struggling with certain words and phrases in my crappy review of a german film. My dictionary isn't much help nor company, lol =(

The film's called Goodbye Lenin...and to be honest I don't think I've ever learnt so much history from a film before.
It depicts the reunification of Germany and the fall of the Berlin wall...and how this affected people who were loyal to communism (and the way of life that came with being a part of the east german regime).
It shows how things in Germany changed after the fall of the wall....very funny actually, the way they used things like Coca Cola to show how the west was more advanced than the east with regard to their relationship to nations such as the US.

All in all an absolutely fantastic film....just a shame I can't write any german words to convey that.... I dont think 'sehr interessant' has the same effect after you've used it 3 times in one paragraph, lol.

Sooooo, back on subject....do we have any stray germans visting Pf in my hour of need?

my other half is from the old DDR ,i lived there for ten years ,speak fluently and read it too .If you have anything in particular,phrases or words stick em up and one of us here can sort it even slang from the east

 

If someone wants to add me to msn about it feel free to do that, as basically its just reading thru the stuff i write and telling me where I've slipped up.
Some things are blatently senseless but as I have no idea what to put in I've no way of improving it!
