always wondered about trials bikes, once they are in gear are they like an auto, twist and go etc?

or you have to clutch while trying to hang on to the thing?

and how hard is it using the rear brake etc while trying to balance on the rear wheel?

ive just up a trials bike, but its of the pedal variety lol. not had chance to use it yet, and its about 10 years since i last had a go lol. im nw a bit of a bloater so not thinking its going to come back too easily, especially as i piss poor before lol

how much do those things cost?

Fudgey, trials bikes are just the same as an ordiary motorbike. In the vid he is using the clutch. The engines on modern trials bikes very very torquey and the power is right off the bottom. the soft compound tyres set at between 5 and 10 psi mean it sticks like the proverbial. As for the rear brake, it is very natural to use as it is just under your right foot, and as the bikes weigh so little, it requires very little to hold them still.

I used to do a bit of motocross

This was my 2008 YZF450 until some lowlifes decided they deserved it more than me,what made it worse was the fact i had 3 months of finance left to pay when it went

They took my WR426 as well but the police managed to get it back
