Happened to my old postman. Our letters came through with blood on them. My dad opened the door to see if he was ok. The Rottweiler next door had bit his fingers, one was hanging off!! He was still bloody workin too! My dad phoned the post office and they sent someone out to get him. Fuck that, it looked sore.

i tend to paint mark pulleys on any cambelt job regardless of manufacturers markings, especially free wheeling bottom pulleys!
but when i was an apprentice at Ford, the bloke i worked with used to lock the cams together using molegrips onto the cam pulleys when doing a cambelt on a zetec
But the worst bit of laziness iv seen has to be AIRGUN on SPAKPLUGS and even HEADBOLTS!

Never use axle stands, I use a old railway sleeper cut down into squares, so much more stable.
The reason I do this, if the ground is not 100% level it's dodgy on axle stands, no problem with sleepers, plus my twat of a mate can't rock the car I was under just seconds before it fell off the axle stands, on sleepers you can push as much as you like it doesn't move.
If it's only one wheel up I do use a axle stand with a jack, but never if two are off.
Where towbars are fitted, wire the 12S socket direct to the battery and not through a relay, if battery is flat simply plug charger into socket, even if only to operate CL to get in etc, or to stop alarm going off.

I have a few tricks up my sleeve.

1. get as much dirt on your work colleagues as possible and keep it in a safe place as you never know when (not if) they will stab you in the back and you might need an "edge" to make things fair again and get you out the shit. (maybe its just the forces is like that?? or shall i say just commissioned officers in the RN are all backstabbers???).

2. As a manger never forget that without your subordinates, nothing would get done!!

3. pretend to smile.
