Default Any tips/tricks????

Evening.......
Anyone have any useful tips or tricks for getting the actuator rod back on the wastegate lever as its not happening for me!! Maybe im just not strong enough to pull it over the lever but its just not happening. im only about 10mm short of getting it on to the lever (No jokes).

You big girl

No, seriously, with a strong actuator its pretty hard.

What i do is use molegrips to hold the actuator arm and push on that, and if i cant do it maself, jus get somone else to help you push the fucker on, and on some, even then its not easy, but always do-able.

Only fucker is when you REALLY close and you acidently knock the wastegate arm so its too far away to put the actuator arm on and you have to start all over

with the wastegate fully closed you should only have about a 4mm gap to put the preload onto the rod, so you need to lengthen the actuator rod

yep if set right you should only have to put the actuator under 4mm of preload and if you want to use more boost get a bleed valve to adjust the actuator pressure

as said, why fook about when that sorts is with no hassle, but ona serious note if ya got 10mil then its either the wrong actuator ir too much boost

but dont fit a bleed valve for that reason look at ya amal valve jets

as a rule of thumb ya should have half a hole ( around there)

but get a pump and pump u[ the actuator and ya sorted

was gunna say the same get a bike pump and cut off the end that normally screws onto the bike valve then feed the pipe into your actator hose and use a bit of tape to seal it, get a friend to pump pressure into the actuator which will move the actuator rod back and forth then all you have to do is slip it on ( watch your fingers tho...cos it hurts so bad) lol
