Been off work since monday, i did a half day then, and nothing else came in so i'm at home . (i drive lorries, and nothing came in to move)

HOW BORING IS IT! i'm seriously bored. i went to the gym yesterday and sprained my effing ankle so cant do that today,

Things have been quiet for ages, like since may/ june time really, but i've always been able to fill a day with one thing or another at work and keep busy but i've never had two days off ever, theres literally nothing to do, dont look too bright for rest of the week or next either tbh.

 

I'm back to work today - just had 12 days off Then at the beginning of November I get a week off, another at the end and then 2 weeks in December

Lol. Fair play. dont get me wrong i love my weekends , i work half day sat and have the rest off, and have my two weeks a year hols. But when i'm sat at home for no reason it feels "wrong" if you know what i mean cant even go see my mates, they're all at work the dogs looking at me like he wants to go to the park.. next job i think i seriously dont know how people sit inside all day.

basically if i dont work, i dont get paid. I like my lifestyle with some expendable cash, therefore i like working

It feels far from wrong being sat at home and getting legitimately paid for it - Feels rather nice to be getting paid for sitting about, working on my own car etc etc

 

my old man hasnt drove his wagon for 2 weeks no work not been paid ect

 

yeah its fucked,we gone quiet aswell,like the xmas lull has come 2months early,he parked a artic up yesterday till after xmas our gaffer has.

 

i look forward to a couple of days off at christmas. my first since last christmas but im lucky considering how the building trade is just now. i dont count the 1 day off i had for the op on my hand after chopping it up on the rad fan.

 

A few truck drivers know what i mean then! its not good is it.

fuzzy, your allowed a day off with half a hand missing the last sick day i had was over 3 years ago when i went mountain biking in malvern and gave myself heatstroke what a great day, only to collapse the next

After messing with the car for an hour or two, i spent most of my late afternoon cooking! haha. something i havent done in ages. maybe i could get used to this after all

 

ive only been out 2 nights this week and i will be out tomorrow but our 8leggers are flying,trying to shift 50,000 ton of ash,artics are quiet but the ash place wont let atics on the job because its too dangerous to tip.

 

i know guys in the building trades that havent worked for months. its still grim out there but i do see small improvements since the beginning of the year. hopefully after the christmas lull things will start returning to normal.
