He's 22/1 to win in Australia!!!

How can the car get so bad from last year? If that is the case? This might show his true ability, see if he can do as well in a lesser car.

Braun GP seem to be the team to beat by the sounds of it, maybe Button is in with a better chance than ever.

Aye well, it will be interesting to see how he does this season I guess.

The guy is a prick, and so is his dad, so I personally hope he fails. Would be nice to see Button winning some races though. Or Raikonen(sp).

Just think he's a smug little bastard. No doubt he has some talent but I just dislike the way he goes about it all. As for his dad, it bugs me everytime i see him in the pits/with the team etc, didn't see the Schumachers dad in the pits (and he had 2 children racing), doing interviews, on the tele all the time so why does Lewis' dad feel the need to be in the media so much.

I'm all for a parent doing the best for his son, but his son is a big boy now and its F1, not karting etc anymore.

thats becuase the camera wasnt pointed at schumachers dad every 5 seconds, but you did see schumachers manager every race so realy dont see your problem tbh

im sorry, but that entire post just screams of jealousy and feelings of inadequacy

how u can call hamilton smug is beyond me, hes just good at what he does, and is enjoying his time doing it. id much sooner see that then the schumacher of old who just mooched around looking bored, and showed as much emotion as an arthritic tortoise whether he won or lost!

and hamiltons dad has every right to be proud of his son, he devoted his life to building the 'product' that is lewis. and its nice to see a family in the pits supporting lewis, brings the sport back to the masses, instead of just comin across as a rich mans sport for daddies little rich kids who dont really care if they win or lose

i wouldnt be too worried about grid positions so far, it seems every team go up n down the time sheets like yo-yo's, no clear single team yet, plus there hasnt been a race situation yet, the fastest car doesnt always do the best if the driver cant handle the pressure etc

So its his driving fighting for a position on the grid, and hence his driving to credit for being at the front last year or to blame for him being right at the back this year?

Thanks for clearing that up, cause some folk were blaming the car

I know that yes, but other people seem to be confused about it so its fun watching them squirm over it.

Its a combination of driver and car that wins, if either element is poor, you wont be winning.

Besides, it's just practise today, its an extension of testing and the teams are concentrating on setup, race pace and evaluation of tyres.

I know already Jenson was concentrating on long runs on hard tyres and didnt set a flying lap whereas Reubens did.

So untill Quali 1 we wont really know who has good one lap pace.

One thing is sure though, Brawn have an advantage on pace in long stints.

there is no doubting he has talent, all the f1 drivers have huge huge amounts of talent

he does have that certain smugnes that i dislike, although i loved the arrogance of schumaker, so i can't explin why, perhaps it just a person onion of the individual

as for having a crap car, i see the excuses already lined up.......

how do you know that he's not ready to jump ship and will make ou that the car is crap for his excuse to walk?

he has already set the precident because he's left his home town, his bird, now it'll be his team, and no doubt people will still stick up for him no matter how wrong he is because we are supposed to be patriotic and support our brit champs, no matter what they do aren't we

all the talent in the world won't make him less of a twat, and lewis is going the same way, i would loved to have seen his dad being enthusiatic and getting a mic stuck in his face for comments, but not the way that he's gone all new labour in his approch to the thing, it just sucks

No Dojj we'll all listen to what you think, once you come up with a valid point

If you followed winter testing at all you'd know McLaren are in the shit. Even at the last test they were dribbling hi-vis paint over the car so they could analyse their aero problems, thats all normally done in the wind tunnel in secret before a team gets to a test, so they must have been fairly desperate, also they introduced so many new rear wing/diffuser configurations in the last two tests, it was clear they were in trouble.

They spent too much resource last year on getting the WDC to the detriment of this years car, clearly

IMO this could potentially put Lewis out of the points for a few races if these times will be similar to what he does at race pace.
Will be good to hopefully see a few new faces and different teams on the podium this year though

Didnt realise it was that many. Ok maybe more drivers fighting for the championship instead of just 2-3 teams. Would like to see that boosted up to 4-5 teams equating to half the grid being super competitive.

Dojj, who said he's jumping ship? Just because he said he wouldnt ignore anyone who had an offer for him?

If you had a job and some one went to offer you another, would you just say " No mate dont want to know about it" , or would you listen, then make up your mind?

Even if he did leave, so what? It's no stain on his character to go where the best car is?

Are you about to say Prost was rubbish or an awful traitor because thats exactly what he did.

Hamiltons relationship with McLaren is two way, they produce a good car, he drives as fast as poss.....if either side of that relationship breaks down and a better offer comes, then you couldnt blame either party for making a change could you???

Quick Reply: lewis hamilton is a crap driver - shocker!!!! plus he might be a cheating git
