it took a while to heal as they cut through muscle and everything to be able to put the plates in,i couldnt move my fingers for about 5 weeks.was at physio twice a week which helped and did lots of excercises at home as realy wanted my arm working as soon as possible as was racing motorbikes at the time.i did it in august 95 and was was still under hospital supervision until the end of march 96.broke it again in 2001 i think it was and on the xrays there was a new break as expected but the original break was still there as well,so they just potted it and sent me on my way but have been to the hallamshire with nerve problems and allsorts since.and the bastard thing still plays up now dosent like the damp and cold weather

broke my wrist a few years back in 2 places, but no op
had 3 lots of keyhole on my knees, once on the right and twice on the left, second time was after a car accident where i bent my leg the wrong way
and there is a MASSIVE list of broken bones when i had my accident in 1991 and left me dead for 10 days, coma for 3 month, wheelchair bound for another 6 months and hospitalised for a total of 15 months
27 fractures of the skull
broken bones included:
right heel
right shin
both knees
right thigh
tail bone
right hip
back (fused 2 bones in my vertebre
3 ribs on the right

hit from behind
by a car
doing between 35-40 mph
hit my knees
flipped up over the top
landed in a heap

apparently

i can't remember shit about it, lost virtually 99% of my memory, the only thing i could remember was how to talk and transformers, couldn't remember anyone of my family, couldn't read, write, count, nothing so had to learn it all over again

which explains the funny shape of my head, my dyslexia and, probably, why i don't "get" stuff

Not exactly.

I first went to the doctors with it some years back, thinking that was what it was (hadn't had anything like it before, so nothing to compare it to, and that seemed the only obvious explanation). Turns out it's a condition that's like a form of eczema that only attacks very thin skin layering and things that get stretched and such like (ie/ your ring). So I've been having to apply a steroid cream (not anabolic steriods, I'm not trying to bulk up my arsehole), which cured it for quite a while, but no it's back with a vengeance, and the cream doesn't do a hell of a lot any more, so time for an intricate operation to look forward to...

I'm going in next week to have my tail bone removed

Dojj's accident makes me feel very lucky - I rode across a country road on my bike when I was little without looking and got hit square on by a car. I did a flip over the roof of the car, landed on my back on the road behind the car and was completely un-hurt... not even a bruise! I did have to push my bent bike home which then got a puncture in the only wheel that would turn so I had to carry it home And it put a good few dents in the car apparently

When i was a kid i fell off a pogo stick and bit my tongue badly when it smashed me under the chin as i fell, my tongue of split 3 ways at the end needed to have 6 stitches, the injections to numb my tongue were the most painful ones ive ever had!

Also had those steri-strip things on my balls when i was a young un too, after falling on a bag of knitting and knitting needles

Cool having your own copys of your x-rays, i've recently writen off for a copy of mine too, seems to be taking weeks though.
I've also broken my Radius and Ulna in a bike accident, 2 operations and a few pins and plates later its all mended.

Heres a copy of my x[ray showing the breaks

and the wounds the surgeon made to get access, 52 staples in those

i have more photos which i'll sort out later on

my mate used to sell the measuring devices used to see how deep the ball joint goes into the bone on hip replacements and the glue the use to glue it into place

they cost an absolutle fortune but there are several different ones:
you've got your very basic ball joint that rests up against the bone
then you've got what is basicly a rose joint inside the ball to give you more flexability
then the top ones have a double rose joint, one inside the other to give you just as much flexability as you could hope for, which seem to be almost what you've got in there benni

[quote=Fudgey;3991106]for my nose job i had kind of tampons inserted up my nose, and accross the roof of my throat. those cunts were at least 6 inches long and made me gag as they they pulled them out.

I had these when i had polips removed from my nose. Fuck me they hurt when they came out! bled so bad i had to stay in an extra night, was well pissed off

Polips are growths inside the nose and apparantly look like half eaten grapes, nice!

had the op around two years ago and it aint helped! i cant breathe through my nose properly and i cant smell, should do something about it really but ive learnt to live with it as it took doctors around five years to realise i should have an op!

My accident prone brother

Got his finger trapped between a jack and a truck, i think it was on axle stands and it slipped off on to the jack, practically chopped his finger off was just hanging by skin on the inside of his finger. happened over a year ago and he still cant use his finger properly, had bolts and screws put in it.

i do have a story about mine the may some cringe.i had dislocated my elbow on the snapped arm,so they had to put it back in place while i was concious but the doctors had to grab my broken bones and wriggle it back.i could feel the bones grinding together and it was seriously painfull.and to the others with the head injuries(as did that as well among other things) i suffer from a pretty crap memory now and cant tell the time on a faced clock and developed a fear of water.anyone else have strange after effects?

i forgot one

dislocated my collar bone, ran into one of them swing poles and bent the bone up and over (or is it under and behind) the other bit so my arm was pointing up like superman

properly sparko'd i was for a few minutes

the ambulance got me to hospital and they gave me something to numb the pain and then slowly eased my arm down again until it went "click" as the bone sorted itself out

my right collar bone is now visably "bent" and my left collarbone is dead straight

i also lost a bit of my ear as it was hanging off, evander holyfield style after a mauling from lion mike tyson

I had my gallbladder removed a couple of years ago, no pics though. I was hoping they would keep it in a jar for me to see, but no such luck.
