fact, fords that have stopped being made and are late registered like j reg escort rs turbos,g reg xr2's, d reg grannie mk2's,d reg mk3 escort rs turbos are unwanted cars that ford couldn't sell, they are not special in any way shape or form, there was quite a few 2wd sierra cosworths on hreg
i even saw f reg capri 280's, k reg tranny mk3's not new gen,
basically look at rs200's the first ones were b reg's,you could get them new in 92 because they were unwanted. nowt special about metal lying around unwanted imo

in 1969 Ford came with the Colt! ( a young horse, as the small version of the american Mustang ) However this name was taken by Mitsubishi.
the name Capri was next in line.![](http://www.autoweek.nl/images/800/3/2139eabd3c04300bba7030c96e56a223.jpg)
and
In 1931, not long before Thomas Edison died, the inventor told his friends Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone: “I’d put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don’t have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that.”

The engines are a bit different, the jag has different heads, it also weighs a bit less. Keeping with the v6 duratec theme the original 2.5ltr v6 was initially developed by Porsche (had 250bhp) but when it came to putting it into the mondeo it didn't fit so ford had to make various changes to it, I can't remember if it was Porsche that made it too big or if some halfwit at ford messed up the engine bay on the mondeo.

The Mk4 Escort never came with clear indicators or tinted rear lights.
Funny the ammount of people who think they are part of the 90 spec upgrades when they were just a popular aftermarket fitment......

they showed one in bits (i remember because it had 4 stud brakes on it) and one built up (which had granada 5 stud alloys on it) so i knew there was something fishy going on
my bit of trivia is:
that mark evans fella from a car is born fame, said he cleaned and washed several bits from a sierra donor car he bought and then complained when they didn't fit
i told him when i met him a few years ago that that was because he was cheating and had bought some stuff from a granada, which has the bigger diff witht he disc brake output flanges fitted to it and the hubs had 5 stud brakes on
he said not to tell anyone and then signed a copy of the dvd
