Sounds correct to me - some racing cars even in the mid 90's didn't have servo (assist) IIRC. Apparently drivers chose to do without it as it improved braking feel.

Fords used the pump for wash wipe in most of thier 60s and 70s my mate had one in his mk1 mex and my other mate still has one in a ford d series truck.

I heard that some one ordered an rs200 and paid for it but never collected and ford stll have it.and while we are on the subject an old work colleague was a joyriding toerag when he was younger and told me his mte s nicked an rs200 and a lancia delta wen the rac was in walsall and he can confirm he went in the lancia and saw thers 200. Apparently a private collector wanted them for his collection.

All ford keys will lock a door but not unlock it its a safety feature to try and stop thieves.

i went to the jag factory and and had an argument with the feller who was giving us the tour about how the jag was just a mondeo with a different body,he said "ah but did you know that some parts are designed by porche" i said" what? the springs?"(complete guess from the old seats having proche suspension) he says, "so you know your stuff" haha, he was a complete bell end and tried to tell me that the jags used different cylinder heads than ford for there deisel engines when it was clearly just a new cam cover

yep - the early pops didn't have a brake servo - just a master cylinder - the brakes were appauling to say the least.

the loom aswell - usually ford looms have all the connectors there - just taped back on non fitted items.

when i came to fit a heated rear window and wash wipe - there was NO wiring to the tailgate and no wires for any of the switches .

and... a MK1 fiesta rear tailgate glass DOESNT fit a MK2 tailgate even though they look almost identical - the MK1 glass is around 1/4" taller and wider. I know cos i found out the hard way when I tried fitting a Mk1 heared rear glass to my MK2 tailgate - that had no wires to the rear of the car.
