i think you need to ask alot of questions about cosworths and read some books and mag articles on the history of the cosworth sierra and escort cosworth.
The RS 500 was an homologation of the 3 door for touring car racing
interestingly the rs500 block is a 205 roflol

I'm a woman, what do I know about cars?! Shame the SD1 Vitesse V8 was badly built too, they're a classic!

90's Rovers weren't much better, my 620Ti ate its gearbox

Another headgasket on your K-series sir?

Poor Bart will wonder whats happened to his thread asking simple question

yes i understand its a small core plugged block and also has a 205 stamp, i did only say it was a different block. unless you are saying its the same because it has the same number. I should have know to put that earlier, as i might own know someone would have to try and correct me on again another petty point thats not actually wrong.

In reply to this NO! I have seen, worked on and owend many cosworths, i have never seen a 4wd with a 205 block(unless the 200 block has been removed and sold on ebay), but i just dont rule things out as completley wrong and take the piss because i have never seen it.
so surely you can only say its not known of any in your opinions.(that you are of course welcome to have)

Louie,

So what is the point of saying it if you have never seen it. All 4x4 left the factory with a 200 block. Did your 4x4 come with a 2wd intercooler because Ford had some laying around from the 2wd builds? Of course it didnt.

In your opinion mitsy, like i said before you are intitled to it and i respect you for displaying it in such an adult manner. surely people should voice pro's or con's instead of being silly its only a general discussion after all.

Yes but Louie, people form an opinion normally based on facts, and those that dont change their mind when presented with the correct facts. Short of actually going to Cosworth and asking, what more proof do you need that ALL 4x4 cosowrhts came with a 200 block. I just dont get how you can argue the toss about it really.

Thats good rich as ive been represented with all the facts (opinions) if keith and mike(alan) aka cosworth said no we never used a 205 block thats totaly unthinkable then thats fact. end of, either i am right in my opinion or wrong.
its not even about if they did or not its about you telling people they cant have a opinion i am entitled to it so get over it.
but then again one of them is dead and the other may not know the answer. lol,

i was always over it, i just dont understand people who are so stubborn that they refuse to change their opinion even when they have been told by 2 cosworth experts thats all.

My first garage where i served my tea making period twin turbo'd one of those bad boy SD1's...did it night fire red with a cossie style whale tail and split rims.....looked kinda cool in a chavved up wanna-be ferrari daytona sort of manner

K series headgaskets were a public joke....Rover spokes person "we dont have a problem with our k series gaskets". LandRover spokes person "yes we have a problem with our k series gaskets"....Ann Robinson was loving that on Watchdog
