Default Written my first book

All month I've been doing something called NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) - an American idea to get people writing.

Like many people I've often thought I had a book in me, but never had the time or the inclination to make a start until this came along. The challenge is to write 50,000 words in the month of November, and I finished earlier this evening - less than an hour before I turned 44!

I honestly don't think it's good enough to be published, even after I go back and tidy it up, tie up the loose ends and so on, but I had fun and want to tell everyone that I'm actually quite chuffed with myself, both for doing the 50k (which isn't actually a very big book - I reckon a Rebus is about 150k) - but the fact that I set a goal and hit it.

Various things, funny and otherwise, that have happened to me and to friends, but as if one individual had had all the experiences.

There's a twist, but I'm saving that till it's tidied up a bit.

just clicked on another book on the same lines that was linked in amazon and found this review:

I run a luncheon club for pensioners, and our selection of reading material was getting a little dog-eared to say the least. This was one of many titles we bought, but it has been far and away the most popular amongst the octogenarians. As little Elsie told me "I didn't realise my Alfred still had so much lead in his pencil!" I think this book is a "must read"!
