Chassis Numbers.
Hi
Looking for some advice regarding a FRST Chassis number. I have one that has been in a garage for 15 years. The chassis number stamped in the floor is still there with the VS6BXXWPFBLM*****. The windows all have the matching vin code etched into them.
Now the vin tag attached to the front slam panel has a different number stamped on it that ties in with the one on the log book. Could anyone tell me if this is correct or should it match the number stamped into the floor.
I might be missing something here as the log book states it as an RS and also the reg is logged as an FRST. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
I thought Mk3 fiesta started SFABXXBAFB?
Also the number on the floor matches the silver tag and the last seven of the chassis number is the serial number and engine number.

This, Floor VIN should match VIN tag on slam panel and Log-Book. (Atleast it does with my Sierra and all other Fords I'v checked)
Sounds like it has had different VIN tags fitted with a new book.
Maybe it's a base shell with Rs ID? (Possible re-shell)
