Not as simple as that though, It only when either buy it now is used or auction stlye listing, cant remember which one now, i tried when i bought my land rover and they had very strict criteria to agree to insure it, All landy's have to have some sort of ignition immobiliser and i didnt know the make of the one fitted to the one i bout so they point blank refused. look into it first, i know a few people that have been caught out

I had similar offered to me when I bought my M3 through an Auction - was legit though- all through Norwich Union.
Only problem was they didn't do sportcars, so I was left on Fri eve at 9pm at a night with a new car, 60 miles from home and no insurance.
Big fucking pain in the butt that was.

Yeah i came up with a plan to buy a car with my mate, i then sell it to him after a week, then he sells it me back and so on, free insurance every couple of weeks on a cheap car!!
But on another forum been told it wouldnt work to well with listing fees etc. but surley if we did buy it now 1p they couldnt take a percentage really. Unless some other bastard snapped it up

Then phoned the number on the Norwich Union leaflet and the guy said "no can do" as the car was a Group 20. He pointed out they have terms and conditions such as No Points, No Group 18+, Age 21+.
No commitment though from what I gather - the idea being you like the offer so much you take it up, then after 7 days are too lazy to sort a proper quote so just take up Norwich Union's annual policy price.
Just like the Free Brake checks you see at Kwik Fit or wherever, no catch, but you land up giving them money anyway!

I also read somewhere, cant remember where, that aslong as Norwich Union would normally offer you a policy it would be alright.
So me being 19 couldnt go and buy a aston martin or something and be alright for a week... If i could afford one that is.
