Been working at the Audi garage today and they had a black RS8 in there. If there has been a thread on here before then i don't care. . . i did'nt see it I'm probably the only person not to have seen one on here but what a fooking great looking car Best looking motor i've seen in ages. Sounded awesome too, V10 lambo restricted to around 500 bhp. Could'nt take any pics as the fooker had gone with some posh geezer takin it out. Link here if you aint seen one. Wish i had £76k+

I had a look around one of these at local Audi dealership! Looks funky thing fair play.

 

I have only seen them in passing on the road (only two to date). i think they look stunning.

I need to go and see one in the flesh i think.

 

The RS8 hasn't even been released, not even sure if Audi have officially said they're gonna do one.

The only model out now and the ones just in at the dealers are R8's, which are 4.2 V8s

It's the S8 and S6 saloons which currently have that de-tuned Lambo engine.

 

when i was in Oulton Park a few weeks back there were about 30 of them there.

there was an Audi tent there too,so must have been going to take them all on track.

 

I only see an R8 and something based on the A8 in that link so why have they said the main difference between the R8 and RS8 will be larger intakes on the side etc....?

They say the main visual difference between the R8 and the RS8 are bigger intakes. The fundamental difference is the R8 is a V8, the RS8 'will be' a V10, which apparently is what's in the link (along with an RS6).

I was just saying that he couldn't have seen an RS8 at a dealership as only the V8 R8 is out at the moment.

 

Sorry i might have to take that back..... just been looking at R8's and they are a little diffeent to the one in the link.

I've seen a couple in New Zealand, man they sound nice. Look good too I reckon.

 

yeah i just realised that

i was under the impression that an RS8 would be based on an A8. Never knew it was a V10 of a R8.

Not your fault, mate. I blame Audi and German car manufacturers in general for giving them such confusing model series names. A few years ago an R8 was something completely different, as you probably know......Let's not even mention Porsche 911 variants

Hi Gaz. The bloke i saw looked round it for a while then took it out, brought it back, looked round it some more and went. A few more people looked at it, with brochures in hand and one of them took it away and we went before it came back, so looks like it was for sale. If it is the same car he must be passing it on.
