Anyone remember X - cars? I wish they would repeat it.

This clip is a marked 4x4 saph (J202NNE - anyone on here own it now?) chasing a pug 205. The two plain clothes coppers are in another unmarked saph as well.

I recon the control room are looking to call of the chase as they ask the pursuing officers what car they've got and he says 'its a cosworth' (1min 30sec in) and they let them continue.

Thats right the saph was a J reg moonstone as I remember. They also had an RS2000. Didn't know it got burnt out though.

 

I remember that series. Those coppers were properly sound IMO. They all loved their cars, (They had a selection of Max Power posters up in their office) and didnt come across like a bunch of wannabees.

ive got the full series on video somewhere in the loft, its sad now but at the time i only taped it because of the cossies & 2000s im sure thet had 2 rs 2000s white & black, & 2 cossies.

 

They had fully marked up ones too, there are afew pics floating about but I cant find one at the mo

They have a few naughty cars at the moment. I got tugged over by a 3.2Audi A3 a fair few months back. He properly gunned it out of a side-road behind me and, due to a spate of VAG thefts near me, I promptly put the hammer down

Suffice to say he let me off for 85mph in a 30 zone when I said that I feared for a car jacking Awesome guys, well into their cars, asking me how hard the RST conversion was on my cabriolet

I loved X-Cars!!! There were 6 episodes, and weren't and won't be released on DVD or video by the BBC.

 

Altho there are a lot of old programs been released on dvd over the last 3 or 4 years from years back that never went to video even. There's a big market for retro tv. I remember having Game On season 1 & 3 and wanted 2 so I contacted the producers...Hat-Trick...they replied they would never be releasing season 2. Now you can get all 3 in a dvd boxset

 

Can anyone convert it from video to file and host it. That would be great

Well it says 1995/6 on the you tube clips but 100% is was before this, I think it was early 90s.

I remember watching this when I was just getting into Fast Fords and its one of the things that really made me want to get a cossie. Ten years later I finally bought a moonstone saph!

 

Used to be based at Plant Hill Police station in Blackley, now over Salford/Eccles way.

Cossies, Escort RS2000's, Cav Turbo's, Rover Turbo (Battery kept dieing on that).
They were not allowed to give foot chase if they were in the cossie

I also remember Oldham Police having a J reg Cossie, pride of the fleet It went into Quicks at Old Trafford for service, and got robbed from there by a well known car theif from Oldham, he was zipping around pulling his mates over
Funny as Fook, even though I did shit myself when he pulled me

 

Guys a lot of the filmage was done on around my estate in salford

But not like that anymore no where near as bad i remember the local lads taking the police saph cosworth hammering up and down and a lad fimed it all from high rise flats a good 14-15 years ago.

The actual video is still knocking about somewhere

What was worse was watching X-CARS and knowing the lads and all the area to be honest it was quite mad as fook round here 10 yrs+ ago
