what sort of prices can i got an engine rebuild on my saff?

i'd do a cheap one for £100, but i don't give any warranties? is there such thing as a cheap rebuild. maby you mean crap rebuild

parts alone cost more than that

gonna be £4k even if you can find someone doing it on the cheap,like a mate or summat

or could possibly do it for £3k by skimping on a few things

Parts, and machining work is going to be probably double that.


*Pistons and rings £400
*Block boring £150
*Crank grinding £100
*Shells £120
*Head set £150
*Bolts £40
*Bottom end seals £40
*Oil £45
*Oil filter £10
*Plugs £15


Theres a £1000 with loads of bits missing and not accounting for anything done to the head and not accounting for build labour.

I spoke to A1 rally sport, if i sent them the block (ie removed the engine and head etc) they could do a freshen up (sort block, new rings etc but keep pistons all in that was about 700
